Distribution: North America: Baldwin, Mobile and Washington counties Alabama; George County Mississippi (Hobbs 1989).
Alabama: Known from 17 database records, from Baldwin, Mobile and Washington counties in the Mobile Bay, Tombigbee and Alabama River systems.
Habitat: Streams and pools (Hobbs 1989).
Conservation Status: High Conservation Concern.
Note: In Alabama, it is illegal to stock or move any fish, mussel, snail or crayfish to any public water without a permit.
