This species is endemic to Australia, and is found in the Northern Territory. It has a patchy distribution and has been recorded in the Blythe River, Maningrida, Arafwa swamp, Blue Mud Bay and Wessel Island (C. Austin pers. comm. 2008). However, its distribution is likely to be greater (C. Austin pers. comm. 2008). This species has an approximate distribution of 30,000 km2.
